We just don’t get it!

Assalam o alaykum wa rahmatullah i barakatuhu, Alhamdulillah. So here we are again in 2008 and as Muslims we have not really changed much collectively. A silent majority has changed but they are a handful. All of you must be wondering what am I talking about?

If you go to a very popular muslim blog (that I will not mention here) you will find, instead of being a source of knowledge, it has become a political platform. The blog started off pretty good mashAllah and sometimes /oftenย  posts great articles on a broad range of issues and how they shape a muslims world and also about the Deen.Until recently a moderator who is into politics started posting on it.

Today Muslims are cheering the win of a man named Obama which according to them is the lesser of the two evils that will actually help the Ummah. SubhanAllah! is this what we have come down to? A people who pin their hopes to the leader of the so-called “free world”. La Wallah! We cannot stoop to such a low. Why dont Muslims get it. This man openly supports the Zionist state and supports bombing innocent muslim civilians(and he will do it as he has said before). Why don’t we get it? Why is it so hard to understand that our purpose of living in a non-muslim land should be no more then to give Dawah and spread the deen of Allah. Why don’t we get it that we are to put our trust in Allah? Why is it so hard to tell the truth?

Why is it that we are so clouded in our actions. Infact it is the heart that is clouded. Devoid of any humility and taqwa. What good have they brought forth? Kieth Ellison openly supports LGBT. Astaghfirullah! When will we wake up? When will we be worried about Islam. This is so pathetic. When will we wake up to understand Al Wala wal bara? This is so fundamental to our belief. This matter must be understood by us.

May Allah Guide us. May Allah open our hearts and our eyes. May Allah keep us steadfast on Islam.

La hawla wala quwwata illa billah il a3liyul adheem!

This is very interesting, jazakum Allahu khairan for sharing..
I’m not big on politics, but if there is one thing I learned about from this whole thing, it would have to be the determination to change…and that everything is possible (obviously if Allah wills it)…plus many other lessons…Things that will change history like this must be squeezed for their wisdoms and lessons behind them..
    Wallahu a3lam ๐Ÿ™‚

but then again, Muslims along with other citizens of the globe are pretty excited about what happened…so there will definitely be lots of talk about such an event ๐Ÿ™‚
